SUPPORT For every ball sold, West Yorkshire Spinners will donate £1 to Future Dreams Breast Cancer Charity.
The Story When West Yorkshire Spinners were introduced to Future Dreams and their Yarn Therapy Group, they were humbled at the support and sense of community that the group provides to those attending. Through conversations, shared experiences and a mutual love of a yarn - this bespoke colourway was created. The idea was to create something bright, beautiful and meaningful that would flourish and bloom into something that crafters could share and enjoy. By purchasing this colourway, makers are directly supporting the work of Future Dreams, who provide practical and emotional support via workshops and classes, raise awareness around detecting signs and symptoms and fund research into secondary breast cancer. The options to share your knitted and crocheted flowers (digitally or physically) is an opportunity to dedicate your flower to someone who has been touched by breast cancer. The reveal on the first day of spring 2024 will be a celebration of those people and a thank you to those who have taken part. Alternatively, we can have our own installation within the shop remebering those we have lost.
