Wet Felted Bowls, Vessels and Vases*

Join textile artist Kat Wood and learn how to create unique and beautiful bowls, vessels and vases using only wool fibres. No previous experience of felt making is required and by the end of the afternoon session you will have a stunning, three dimensional, felted vessel to take home with you.

Managing Mistakes**

Wouldn’t you love to knit without worrying about dropped stitches? This workshop will teach you how to fix the most common mistakes in your knitting. We’ll practice unpicking knitting, picking up dropped stitches in a variety of textures, and even correcting small mistakes a few rows below.

Yarn provided, please bring a pair of 4mm knitting needles and a crochet hook. 


Learn to Crochet *

Suitable for complete beginners, this workshop is the perfect introduction to crochet. Learn how to hold the hook and yarn, how to crochet basic stitches and be able to understand and follow a pattern.

Crochet Mandalas **

Take your crochet skills to the next level with this workshop on colourful crochet mandalas. You will learn how to make an adjustable ring, crochet standing stitches and work an invisible join while making a stunning mandala. This is a great class for anyone who has a solid knowledge of basic crochet and wants a project to stretch their skills!

Silk Painting

Saturday 20 July | 13h00-16h00 | Kat | £35

During the afternoon you'll get started on a rectangle of silk that has already been outlined for you with the option to later have this rectangle turned into a notebook cover. Then once you've got a feel for it you will outline and paint a square of silk either to your own design or to one of the lovely templates provided.

Needle Felting for Beginners- Felted creatures *

Spend an afternoon crafting adorable needle felted creatures including rabbits, chicks and Easter eggs from silky soft merino wool. You'll learn needle felting techniques to create cute critters. You'll take away at least two finished items, but depending on how quickly you work, it may well be more!

Silk Paper Making

Saturday 17 August | 10h00-16h00 | Louise Goult | £60

During this inspiring workshop you’ll learn not only how to make silk paper, but also have the chance to embellish it with stitches to create a variety of items.  We’ll explore how to make different types of silk paper, adding colour and other fibres to create a series of samples to inspire future work.  As the day progresses, we’ll begin to explore how to use the silk paper to create items such as stitched cards or embroidered artwork.

Silk paper can be embroidered with both hand and machine embroidery.  If you would like to use machine embroidery please bring your own machine with bobbins and machine embroidery or darning foot.

All materials are included, but please bring a basic sewing kit consisting of small scissors and needles.  Refreshments are included, however you will need to supply your own lunch. For any queries or to book a place on the workshop please email or call 07910 682695
