Continental Knitting *

Saturday 27 April | 10h00-13h00 | Anne | £25

This workshop will teach you how to knit continental style, holding the yarn in the left hand and picking up your stitches. If you are a crocheter wanting to learn how to knit, this may be a more intuitive approach for you; but even experienced knitters can benefit from being able to switch between methods: alternative movements may help relieve wrist pain, and some people maintain that continental knitting allows you to work much faster.

Yarn provided, please bring a pair of 6mm needles.

Sari Strips Workshop - Hand or Machine Embroidery

Saturday 11 May | 10h00-16h00 | Louise Goult | £60

The techniques taught can be completed with both hand and machine embroidery, it’s entirely up to you which you choose or even try a combination of both.  If you would like to use machine embroidery then you will need to bring your own sewing machine, bobbins and darning or embroidery foot.

All materials are included, but please bring a basic sewing kit consisting of small scissors and needles.  Refreshments are included, however you will need to supply your own lunch.
