Introduction to Patchwork - Make a Lap Quilt (Doncaster)
Introduction to Patchwork & Quilting *
Saturday 19 January | 10h00-16h00 | Louise | £40
Make a lap quilt from pre-cut 5" squares from a stunning charm pack. Arrange these fabrics into blocks and then using the sewing machine, sew together accurately with the essential 1/4" foot. Quilt together the top, wadding and backing using a quilting foot and finally finish by binding the edges together. This workshop covers all stages of quilt making from cutting to finishing off, which can then be applied to much larger projects.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING: Includes materials and machines, bring a basic sewing kit that includes sharp scissors, a quick un-pick, pins, hand sewing needles, a tape measure and notepad.
Your tutor is Louise.
The class is suitable for beginners but it would be useful if you know how to thread up a sewing machine!
