Are you struggling to find the perfect skirt for your body shape and preferred style? Fear not, we can work together to find the style that suits you. We will explore variations such as panels, flare, drape, pleats and waistbands and you will adapt your pattern to your own design and make your made to measure custom style skirt. Please note that circular skirts are not possible at this class.
Part 1: You will use your measurements to make an individual skirt pattern and make a sample in calico (toile) and fit it to you. From this pattern it is possible to create almost any skirt pattern. From the toilé, a final fitted pattern will be made.
Part 2: You will make a skirt from the final fitted pattern in your desired fabric* You will be shown how to alter the style, shape and length and finish to your preference.
Includes calico for toile, pattern paper and machine use; bring a basic sewing kit that includes sharp scissors, a quick un-pick, pins, hand sewing needles, a tape measure and note pad and pen.
